Default Seals

My truck has 83,xxx miles on it and it seems to be leaking a little oil out of the crank seal and/or the timing chain cover and maybe a little out of the front of the oil pan. I have not looked that closely yet so i do not know if they are all leaking or just one, although it is definitely wet around one side of the timing cover and behind the dampener. I went to a mechanic and had him look at it, said to just wipe it all away and see where it leaks, its been raining here so i have not had time to do that. But he said that it is unlikely for it to leak from the timing seal or the crank seal with only this many miles and said that it was most likely the pan gasket. Is it unusual for it to leak from the crank seal and timing seal with this many miles?

Thanks
