Best Mods for a 99 RAM
I am buying a 99 ram 1500 sport in a few days what are some of the best mods for it.
What are things you wished you have changed and what are some of the cheaper perormance mods?

I like my setup.
Flowmaster cat-back exhaust with dual outs. ($300)
K&N drop-in air filter. ($45)
Fastman 50mm Throttle body. ($225)
Hypertech Power Programmer. ($284)
NAPA 180 degree Thermostat. ($6.99)
Those are the major goodies I have done that made the most power and mileage difference. I also spent like $90 on a nice set of 8.5mm MSD Superconductor plug wires when I changed them. The main thing to start out with is a tune up. You need to get a good set of plugs, I use Champion Truck Plugs, others on here like Autolites (just don't get the fancy Bosch or other platinum ones - they don't work well in these trucks). Get a good distributor cap (NAPA premium) and rotor and some good plug wires. The 180 thermostat is cheap and easy to do also. Synthetic oil and gear lube will help mileage also. There is lots of info on all these subjects and more on this forum - just do a "forum search" for whatever you are looking for.....
