well, the guy picked it up last night... sad to see it go. I sent him on his way with a list of mods that would wake up the motor for towing, everything I could possibly tell him about it and a cd with the manual on it. He's a motorhead so I know it's going to a good home.

So now i'm down to 1 truck (well almost, still have the '97 dak that my daughter is buying from me).

oh my trucks going with me for hell or high water. ill keep it on the road as long as it can hold out without and then convert it into a total trail rig until it breaks so bad i cant replace it. hell i already got a new motor getting worked on for it. another trans laying in the yard. im getting a brand new t case and i think it might have a 60/70 axles soon. so the only thing thats would go bad on me is the cab and the frame.

Yeah, it's hard to see them go, but when it's an upgrade, it's survivable and justified. I bumped into my '98 last week in my local McD's drive-thru. Talked to the new owner, and he loves it. He's only added glass-packs since owning it. He noticed the shift kit, and I told him about the fresh $3K tranny rebuild and new rubber done right before trading it in. Just in case the stealership didn't inform him.

I'm definately gonna miss it, but have to admit the '06 CTD is a blast! Steve knows what I mean.

hell yeah! I put back in the AFE intake kit yesterday, watched low end torque go down and the over boost alarm go off... mileage dropped as well. I knew it would happen but the way the motor runs and pushes the 7k lb truck is awesome. I think I need to figure out a way to add backpressure to the exhaust as needed... maybe a diverter valve of some sort.
