When I replaced my lower hose about 6 months ago I left the spring out because it was so corroded and I haven't had any problems. Leaving the spring out or putting a new one in is all up to you. I pay very close attention to all my gauges to though so it is all up to you.

The new hose should've come with one.

Chrysler doesn't list it as a seaperate part either. You could check autzone (or a similar parts store).

Or just not run it, as long as you pay close attention to what's going on under the hood....like MAGICMAN

it depends on the hose also. some aftermarket hoses come reinforced so they do not require a spring to keep them from collapsing.

Thanks for all the help.

I just went to Napa and asked for all the hoses I needed and the replacement I got just came by itself

squeeze em. i bet it is much harder to compress them than the stockers without the spring. if they didn't come with it you dont need it
