Wheelbase
I'm a bit confused as to what exact wheel base I have. I need to get a new rear driveshaft and am confused to the fact if I have a 135" or 139" wheelbase.
My truck is a the 1999 Ram Laramie SLT Extended Cab, short bed. How do i find out so I don't order the wrong drive shaft.
Also if you have a spare one driveshaft lying around that will fit, let me know.

so.... why does a long bed have a shorter wheelbase? i would've thought the extended cab would have the longer wheel base... i guess its all about that space infront of the rear wheels on the bed.

The 6.5' bed and the room for the second seat = more than the 8' bed of a regular cab truck. Thus it's longer
Don't know the length.
A SS or Chrome shaft would have to be something custom, and the way the shaft is measured varies by shop. You'd have to contact a shop and they'd let you know how they measure up for something like that. If they've done any Rams in the past, they might already have the measurements.
