Default Traded the truck so I guess it's goodbye

I traded the truck for an american made sub compact sedan. The truck was great (and I've driven one kind of truck or another for 30 years) but the gas was killing me. Added to that the traffic is unbelievable since they shut down a major xway for two years. Comming home from work about three weeks ago it took me three hours to go 40 miles. I must have clutch/shifted 70,000 times on the way. The truck was probably lookin at $1500 worth of repairs, so I THREW IN THE TOWEL, and gave up.

I just want to say thanks to any and all that helped me with problems. THIS IS A GREAT FORUM!

The tin can I bought has a twin over head cam four 16 valve, that goes like a bat outta hell. 2800 lbs GVW, avg. 28 mpg. hwy. 32mpg. But it ain't my truck. Pisses me off! Gas was $305 today for 87 octane.

BadStratRT: Sherlock Holmes I presume? Yep, a Cobalt. Please don't tell me what a POS it is. I got 1000 miles on it, no probs, but I read some bad stuff. It's got 2 electric engine cooling fans. Standard operating temp is 190 to 230 degrees. At 230 the second fan cuts in. When runing A.C. both fans run allatime and temp drops to 185. I hate friggen cars. Please kill me!

Well we shall see. If I wasn't really up against it, I'd never consider anything but a Dodge P.U.. The $1200 a year I'll save in gas will almost make the payment for the POS. It's red too, so I look like a real sweety. Please kill me.

I'm sorry to hear it. Its pretty pathetic that a hard working man has to lose a truck becuase a bunch of ****** want to play a stupid game with gas prices.
