Default 360 engine swap

I just replaced the 318 engine in my 2001 Ram with a performance 360. The new engine has ported and polished heads and intake along with a performance throttle body. I also added a K&N Generation II Fuel Injection Performance Kit, pacesetter exhaust headers, a new catalytic converter, new o2 sensors and a Flowmaster Force II Cat-back exhaust system.

The problem I have is a lack of power and headers that are turning cherry red after only a couple miles driving.

The engine runs with 70 lbs oil pressure, good fuel rail pressure, and a system tested non-leaking cooling system.

The computer checks out as OK on the mechanics computer so we are at a loss as t what the problem is. Does anybody have any ideas? I don't want to have to pull the engine and ship it back to the builder except as a last choice.

Thanks for any help I can get.

Red headers/manifolds usually means the motor is running wicked rich.

Is the exhaust getting really black around the outlet for the tailpipe?

The firing order is fine and the timing is entirely computer controlled. Right now we are looking at re-syncing the computer with the assistance of the Fastman.
