Is your bed liner an over rail or under rail bed liner? I have an under rail bed liner with an Extang tonno and there were no modifications needed. It gained me about 1~2 mpg on the highway after I installed it.

can you lock any of those tri folds? i mean so that the whole thing is folded out and locked down including the tailgate? that's been my issue with them is that i can't lock it up.

anybody have a spray in liner that they sprayed the rails with too? and using a tonneau? or am i pretty much SOL?

I highly recommend a sportmaster tonneau cover. In my family alone we have 5 of the slant side sportmasters and love them to death. They are easily the use, the snaps are metal and have set screws in them so they don't move at all when the cover is off and you don't have to screw around with aligning each snap up when you put the cover back on. I've looked at the extang's and the snaps don't impress me at all. Just my opinion though.

If you have an under the rail bedliner, removal is not necessary. If it does go over the bed at the front of the truck just cut that part off and screw the bedliner to the front of the bed. If you have a spray on bed that happens to go over the rails you should not have an issue either because it is bonded to the truck. The tonneau covers have self ahesive tape on the bottom of the rails the compress for a tight fit.

I would agree with the entire recommendation. I also had the Sportmaster cover on my last truck and was great. If you need to put stuff in the truck, just roll it to the front, snap in place with the straps, and roll on. The one I had was already on the truck when I got it. Three years later I broke a corner piece. Called them and they shipped me a new one. No charge, no questions.

Depending on where you go and which style, my slant side snap style cover was $220 but it took a while to find it that cheap. I would guess you should be able to easily get one for $250 or less.
