I bet it was a 5.4 Thanks for the responses!
P.S.
Does anybody else have the viper rocker arms?
I just figured out my gas MPG and with all the racing around with the new power they gave me I got an incredible 14.4 mpg
Thats 2mpg better than what I usually get!

So you guys are saying that Ford has three different V8 engines now? A 4.6L, a 5.0L, and a 5.4L, which, if I am right, would be the old 289, 302, and 351. I thought the only "baby" engine Ford had was that 4.2L V6 turd. I owned one, and yes, it's a turd.

they don't make the 5.0 anymore. and your cubic inches are off too. The 351 would have been the old 5.8L but now its a bit smaller with the 5.4 L im not sure of the cubic inches on the newer trucks though. The 302 and 351 kinda went out with the older 92-96 style trucks.

The 5.0 was discontinued in 95 I believe. All the cars went to the 4.6 which was way more powerful then the 5.0.The 4.2,4.6,and 5.4 are all there engines now

The 4.6L hasn't changed much in the truck line. It has 231hp.
The 5.4L was revised for 04 and has 3 valves per cylinder. It has 300hp. The older 2v 5.4L has 260hp
Also the 4.6L and the old 2v 5.4L had notorious problems with spark plugs blowing out of the heads. Supposedly the casting and design is thin and doesn't have a lot of threads holding the spark plug in. Ford fixed that problem in 04 with the 3v heads on the 5.4L
