Default transmission noise..

ok so the transmission was making some noise (not a grinding noise more of a medium pitch sharp noise) in reverse a couple of months ago and then it stopped after a few seconds. it came back again this past week and hasn't gone away yet when in reverse.

anyone else have this happen?

i'm guessing it just needs to be adjusted as it really hasn't since i've had the truck (15k miles) and at 40k it's probably due.

Does it sound like it's growling when you back up? Mine was doing that when I bought it last summer. I had the transmission flushed and installed a new filter. I am betting that the bands need to be adjusted.
