ignition coil?

does the ignition coil need to be changed at a tune up or not,how much does it help or does it?

Actually, you're running a coil pack, and not a coil. You will not have to change it out until it starts to go bad, which could be a long time. Coil packs are very long lasting, and expensive.

Coil pack? Looking at his exhaust thread, it says 00 5.2L, which should still be the single coil, rf of engine...unless this is a new mystery truck, since there's no info posted here :P

Either way, it doesn't have to be replaced unless it's bad, as stated.

My mistake. I've been drinking and was thinking of the Cavalier. Yes, don't replace a coil unless there are ignition problems.
