Air Intake System Talk.
I picked K&N, mainly because it has proven itself to be a good intake system. I don't know about the others, I haven't heard much about them. I'm not saying their bad, they could even be better than K&N for all I know, but K&N is pretty established as a reliable source for power.
I installed a Fram Air Boost intake onto my '95 Ram 1500 (5.9) and I definately noticed a difference; not only in the feel of my truck but the way it sounds. You can hear it sucking in lots more air (it sounds good.)
I personally have a "HAI" in my truck, the cheapo ebay intake, but when I upgrade I plan on getting the K&N. I want the K&N because I already have seen how unhol-ily hot the metal tube gets after running the engine, and thats is what the AEM has. The K&N is tried and true and is known for keeping a cold, clean charge of air coming in the intake.
the air raid is simple to install, and seems to help my HP a bit.. its running smooth.
all choice of preference.. i would've had a K&N if the dip****s didnt send the wrong one... out of stock K&N.

I bought the air-raid and modified it with additional piece of tubing, insulated the pipes with siver heat wrap and placed directly in path of airflow by modifying side flap beside radiator, alot of people say pipe rust on inside but i have had no problems with it in ohio weather. What turned me off the K&N was the relocation of things I had to do to put box in and their plastic tubing that was notorious for cracking, just my opinion, I get plenty of cool air pumped into my TB with my setup.......total cost $200.00 and a little elbow grease
