Doesn't pay to order a new one either. You'll just end up with the same problem.

I suggest checking out the dashe covers here: http://www.genosgarage.com/products.asp?dept=143

A lot of the CTD owners go with the $140 dashtop at the bottom. Some go with the MOLDED coverking. I've heard good things about both, and the consensus is that they seem to be the best way to go when trying to "fix" the dash issue.

We are definetly a poor lot of fellers when it comes to our dashboards. Living in az. with its high temps didn't do me any favors. Had my truck parked on my sloped driveway facing the afternoon sun and sure as gas ain't free the cracks started . My dash is charcol grey so before they got to bad I took some ABS glue and dabbed on with a needle and wiped off with a lightly dampened paper towel. Have to admit - It' still holding together and looks better than befor. Don't let me get you wrong I spent quite a bit of time being a little more meticulous then I perfer atempting to win a losing battle.

I ended up buying a brand new 1 from chrysler and had it installed when they did the a/c replacement, if you dont like the way it looks put a dash pad cover from a parts store like advance or autozone for about 35.00.I got the black carpet style and it is held on by velcro pieces. It will prevent the dash from its previous problems...
thanks
pat

p.s. also put a sun shade on your windsheld when you park it may be a PITA to keep putting in and taking off but it will also keep the interior cooler then w/o 1...

Other than the covers from genosgarage (which are what I recommend), there really isn't any place to get them from...other than a dealer...or an online parts source like www.makeitmopar.com or www.chryslerpartsdirect.com

If I remember right, the stock dash will not come color matched and you'll have to paint it.
