Installing K&n
Note that your truck may not look exactly like the directions either. Mine didn't have a lot of the stuff that it says you need to relocate, so my install was very easy. After you remove the stock airhat, it is a good time to clean your TB and sensors too in my opinion. Remove the TB from the engine, and clean it up at your workbench with carb cleaner and rags. It is also a good time to replace your cap and rotor since you will have much easier access to them with your airhat off. Make sure your new K&N airhat fits flush against the TB before you tighten up the tube support (you don't want a gap of air that could suck in outside dirt particles).
Mine was the K&N for the V-10
Laid out all the parts in the order they were to be installed.
Then followed the directions step by step--------Had no problems other than the bolt used through the fenderwell to hold on the heat sheild. Resorted to a moment of canniblism to get bolt through and all was good. Also the hose clamp they provided to hold the unit to the bracket attached to the radiator did'nt work so well, but what good is a project without a left-over part or two.
Good luck and dig in.
