1996 programmers

Are there any programmers out there for a 1996 dodge ram 1500 with the 5.2. Ive looked in catalogs and they start at 1997. Are there any out there or am I out of luck.

You're out of luck. Your best bet is to find a Mopar Performance PCM. They're discontinued, but they show up on ebay every now and then. I usually let the forum know when one is listed.
