noisy belt tensioner
ok, i have a really bad squeaky belt tensioner. it needs replacing. anyone know which one i need to adjust, and or tighten?? i just want to get one from a junk yard or something for free. if you can show me what pulley it is in a pic, thats best, otherwise a description. the sad thing is, i know cars real well, but ive never had to deal with this thing before. feel so dumb

the idler pulley between the alt and the a/c compressor is also a part that goes bad. you can see it in the 1st pic. should spin freeley without any rough spots. also you can check it by putting upward pressure on it and rotating it (installed is the easiest). if you have upward pressure (simulating belt pressure) and there are no rough spots or play, it should be good. also check to make sure the shaft is not sliding front to rear in any amount.
