Default new tires and leveling kit

Hello everyone,

I just put a set of Mickey Thompson 305/70r16s (33x12.5) on my 1999 Ram 1500 4x4 Sport. The front tires are rubbing a little on the plastic inner fender when pulling into parking places. I am wondering if the 2” leveling kit will cure this problem. Are Leveling kits and Coil Spring Spacers the same thing? Would I be better off going with new 2” lift coil springs. With either option will I need any other parts (Shocks, steering stabilizer, etc)?

I welcome and appreciate any comments or suggestions.

THANKS

yes they are the same.
and get them, if you ever decide to go with a taller lift you can use them to gain more lift or use them to trade or sell for higher lift parts. The 3" coils are hard to get rid of and still make anything off of.

The spacer on the other hand people use to gain 2 more inches of lift with 5" or 7" coils.

supply and demand.

Are you sure its the fender lining or is it rubbing off the lower control arm? My 99 1500 285/75R16 tires rub off the lower control arm when I might tight turns when parking.

Hello,

Yes the 305/70r16 look really nice under the truck. Its a stock 99 Ram 1500 regular cab Sport. The tires are on the MT Classic II rims. They stick out past the fender about one inch. The only problem I am having is the drivers side is rubbing the innner fender making sharp left turns. It only rubs a little, and I can see the "clean" spot it has left on the fender well. I will try to post a few pictures on Monday.

Hello,

Attached are the pictures. The 305/70r16s are rubbing the inner wheel well when making sharp left turns. Thanks for everyones comments. I think the leveling kit is what I need.

Looks like you need to adjust the bumper on the passenger and drivers side!! Other than that, your truck looks good!!
