This I don't know... although it never threw a CEL light before. I'd imagine if the o2 or a sim wasn't installed I'd get a CEL.

You said that it had the cat removed....Does it have an o2 sim in the o2 sensors place? If it doesn't then that would be the reason for the misfire I believe.

I would still check that out. Just look under the truck to see if the 02 sensor was put back into the exhaust before the muffler, If it has an o2 sim then the sensor would be hooked up to it and zip tied to the frame of secured some other way and not in the exhaust pipe.

Both o2's are there... is the cat the little thing right at the "Y" in the Y-pipe? If so, then I guess it's still there. Maybe it's just a pre-cat?

Also just got the heads off and confirmed that I blew the DS head gasket between #3 & #5.... funny thing is that they aren't stock. These were Fel-pro's. Are these supposed to be good head gaskets, or is there somthing better I should look for this time?

Started cleaning some things up today, and noticed that one of my lifters apparently got spun out of the keeper and chipped the corners off. Can you replace only a single lifter, or should they be done in sets?
