I'm going to get my 94 5.2 liter in my ram rebuilt. it is 2000 in all to get it rebuilt, 1k to pull it and put it back in, 1k to rebuild it. what are some good mods i can do while it is out. can i just get the cam reground and to what specs are best?

nothing to expensive just to give it a lil extra oomph

thanks guys

408 stroker kit would be what I would do, hands down. I don't have a link for you though, and it probably would take a little $$$. But it would be sweet!!! Send a PM to RMIndy about it, he knows far more about 408 kits then I do.

Otherwise, a mild cam and some better heads (don't try to port the stock heads, they are too thin of castings) would be an improvement.
As for headers, you can pic from a number of good shorties (Edelbrock, JBA, Gibson, Mopar), or mid length (Edelbrock TES, GSM), and soon maybe a set of full length headers from Southeast.

Also, I would save a $1000 by pulling and reinstalling the motor myself. That's about the easiest part of an engine rebuild. I can't beleive they want a grand to do it.

ok, im going to wait a while.. get some built up heads with a 360 bottom end. the heads that im getting are pretty stoutly built..

Heads:

2.02 intake/1.68 exhaust

1.5:1 ratio aluminum shaft mounted roller rockers (Proform)

dual valve springs

these heads make 1hp/cu. in. for instance if you had a 360, you would make 360 horsepower. (with 292/292 .512 lift 112 lsa cam) They come with brand new Mopar Performance valve covers

Intake:

Weiand x-celerator single plane square bore (

Carb:

Holley 700 cfm 4150 series carb. Manual choke, mechanical secondaries. comes with an Edlebrock pro-flow air cleaner capable of flowing 1000cfm.

that's what im going to pick up for the top end. bottom end stroker.. that would be le sexy. basically im going to start collecting parts.

I'm going carb'd setup since with an engine with this many mod's i dont want to have to deal with an ecu and remapping etc.

thanks!

Kyle
