1999 dodge ram 1500 speedometer only works at about 70 and higher.........what do i need to do????

Look at the speed sensor make sure its not broke if thats not it then the speedo cabble could be broke.

Speedsensor...either the one in the transmission or the one in the rear-end (if your truck is a 98 or newer).

If it's neither of those, then you have a bad ground somewhere...probably in your cluster.

There is no speedometer cable. It's all electrical.

start with the speed sensor on the rear diff. takes about 10~15 min to swap max and is less than $40 bux. IIRC it's a dealer only item but im not 100% sure.
