Default Wheel Changes Center Hub Problems

First time user here and prowd Ram Owner,

I just aquired from a friend his wheels and brand new tires from a 2001 Ram 1500. He needed an upgrade. The wheels are the same bolt pattern however the front hubs on the 2001 are significantly different from my '96. Is there a hub conversion kit out there or are spacer's the only option? Any and all advice her would be very helpfull. Thank you all,

~Rskeab

The hub difference doesn't matter. The 2000+ hub is a better design, but the wheels should still fit your truck. The only area you might have a problem with is the rear wheels that have to slip over the drum.

As far as spacers, you should NEVER run them on a truck...or ANY vehicle. They are NOT street legal for a reason.

hmm i should really do the math and figure out the added torque that spacers add to the hub... na too much work. too much statics for me. i do believe it is something like 5000 lbs though... so.... DON'T DO IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
