Default checking the plenum plate

how can you tell if the plenum gasket (plate) is leaking? Is there an easy way w/o using a machine to test it? I recently broke something, not sure, but im afraid that may be it. I was driving, then suddenly noticed a huge loss of power, i would not think the plenum would do this, but how can you tell if its leaking at all?

the best way is to look down the TB (or pull the TB off) and look at the bottom of the intake. if there is oil pooling on the bottom then it's leaking. the stock mopar gasket (updated one) is not as great as mopar says it is... I went thru 2 of them before switching to the felpro one. the felpro worked like a champ, never leaked.

you may need a small inspection mirror & a flashlight to check the corners. if it just started recently, you may not have enough pooling yet to see easily. A light film is ok, pooling is not.

If you were driving and noticed it I'd say it was either your catylitic converter or your fuel pump. My money is on the catylitic converter. Mine went out while I was driving down the highway going 75mph. Killed the engine and I coasted off the highway and had it towed home.
