My 2000 Ram I just got and have been working on and couldnt find the miss in it well I found out why today. The guy I got it from had a new motor put in 50K ago, and I guess the garage messed up and dropped the distibutor in 180 degrees out, well instead of pulling it and spinning it around they rewired it to run. I found it when I put new plug wires on today, believe me resetting the dist, is not easy on these, but you wouldnt belive how it runs now. I cant believe they lived with it for that long. And I cant believe one will run at all being that far out.

 

i had to pull my disty out after both of the cap screws sheared off...i agree, it is not fun. and i have a 3" body lift, i couldn't imagine doing it if the body was lower...
