I would say that factory speakers, NON Infinity would be getting no more than 10 true watts of RMS power. 5 is probably much closer to actual.

Good luck.

This is one of my favorite upgrades. It does although largely depend on which truck you have as there are several different body styles and clearance issues to deal with. One thing that is nice is Crutchfield.com has a fitment chart. You can choose your vehicle and it will only show you what speakers will fit your vehicle without modification. Now I actually was able to put 6 1/2 inch speakers behind the back the front seats in the pillar location. They were the right size were not too deep and all I had to do was use self-tapping screws to make new mounting holes. These are really easy things to do as well. If you find a different speaker you like but are not sure of the fit, call crutchfield and their vehicle specialists will be able to tell you if you can make it fit or not. Let it be known I do not work for or have any ties to crutchfield, I just find them an invaluable resource in this matter. I generally use them for research and then buy my copmponents off of eBay anyhow.

I have Infinity 6X9's in the front doors and 6" components in the rear. Not the factory style. They have good highs and bass, without the AM midrange. The new style Polks are better than they were also.
I've had expensive Eclipse 6X9's, Polk 6X9's and now have the Infinity's. Best ones so far. Infinity Reference 9613i or Infinity Kappa 693.7i
