uuuuugh bad accumulator
ok .. so i went to sts and had the charge my ac, they said it was low and thats why it was blowing hot. told me to bring it back in a few days to make sure there are no leaks. so i did and then they tell me thet its leaking at the accumulator and its going to cost about 900 bucks to fix it.i almost fell over. he said the part is only 250 but the whole dash has to come out. ive never had to replace one of these so i dont realy know whats involved, any one ever replaced one. how hard is it and is it something i can do without smashing stuff with a hammer and pulling my hair out??
You can't avoid pulling hair out, since every time you think it's ready to come out, there's another bolt or wire that needs to be removed. All I can say is good luck, and may the Force be with you.

It's the evaporator in the dash, not the accumulator, may want to re-read what they quoted you for replacement.
Prepare to spend half the day to do this if you're very mechanically inclined, a full day if you work on your vehicle sometimes, and 2 or more days if you have no idea on what to do.
