Greetings to all,

New to the forums, so.... A Hello to all.

I just purchased a 1997 ram 1500 ext. cab 4x4 5.9 ltr. A/T 133,000 miles

Wanted to share what I have done to it thus far, and what the results have been.

Changed oil to AMSOIL 10 w30 - Results seem to be running a little cooler.

Changed plugs to Bosch platinum 2's two electrode plugs. Time will tell.

Changed wires to Accel racing wires. a lot THICKER wire, and the Mis Fire on Cyl. 4 code has not happened since.

Changed Breather element to the AIR HOG, WOW.... Big difference. Opened the motor up nicely, very noticable acceleration improvement thru out the whole range.

And finally, the Exhaust. Went to Road Runner muffler in Kissimmee, FL. and talked it over with the guy there.

I ended up with true duals, running 2 1/2" pipe, flowmaster 40's NO CATS. I was concerned about the Check engine light coming on. He assured me he would take care of that.

Once he had the Duals in place, everything hung etc.... He did a PCM reset, and let the PCM RE-Learn the new exhaust. All I can say is im VERY HAPPY.

The Truck sounds very aggresive, the Power difference is Very Noticable, and at crusing its not irritating at all.

So, for me, Im SOLD on FlowMaster 40's, with NO CATS & 2 1/2' pipe running out the back w/chrome tips.

If you are looking for someone in Central Florida to do your exhaust RIGHT, RoadRunner is the ticket!

$ 400.00 got EVERYTHING Out the door.
