Default engine noise

My 99 1500 4x4, on start up makes a popping noise in the engine. The noise seems to come from three different areas and I cant seem to locat it. It only does it with a cold start, say like the first start in the morning. The noise seems to go away after the motor hits about 170 degrees. If anyone has any ideas what this is or if you are having the same with yours please tell me what you think. Thanks

Probably lifter chatter or something. Try putting some Marvel Mystery Oil in your oil. Get it at Wal Mart, it made my engine alot quieter!

you could be running lean while cold (injectors sticking) run some fuel injector cleaner thru it in a high concentration and see how it does after that. it wouldnt hurt to do it even if it does solve your problem.
