ok, I give....
94 ram 1500 2 wheel drive, 5.2, auto.
cranks over but no fire, replaced- crank sensor,pick-up coil,cap,rotor,plugs,wires,the hole friggin dist,the pcm, have good fuel pressure.
got spark going into the dist but nothing coming out ???


what am I overlooking?

just wanna make sure of a few things..

do you have the plug wires in the right order... not to insult your intelligence.. but after what you described, there should be any reason why it wouldnt fire..

it doesnt even try to fire? no putter or nothing? just dead cranking? sounds like an electrical problem..

 

Have you removed the dist. cap to see if the rotor is turning when cranking? Broken distributor/gear maybe?

 

yea i didnt catch that he had spark from the coil to the dist. but no spark from the dist to the plugs... i would agree with fiveltrbtr... a busted dist. not letting the rotor turn.. or the incorrect rotor,,, or an incorrect/busted cap ..

 

plug wires are in order,rotor turns when cranked.
IS THERE A FUSEABLE LINK SOMEWHERE?? also checked asd relay that is fine, it did throw a code 37.
much more of this, and the cumputer **** is coming out and a 383 and 727 are going in.

 

I got the p.o.s fixed, it seems although the coil was putting out a good spark it was not hot enough, put a new coil on and it fired up.
but the 383 will still find its way into the engine bay soon.
