Ok, Odd Fuel Tank Question
Is there a quick or easy way to tell what size fuel tank I have on my 2000 Ram? Other then draining all the fuel and refueling it all the way. I have noticed it could have a 26, 34 or 35 gallon tank. I know my 97 has a 26 gallon tank, but have no clue on my 2000, I dont think the gauge is reading right, so have no clue when I am low on gas. I just put gas in when it gets to about a half tank, cause I dont trust it.
According to the service manual I downloaded from the link on here, and the online parts store it shows 26, 34 and 35 gallon tanks as a option. But doesnt show what they were used in. The reason I ask it is has a differant part number for the fuel pump in each one. Wasnt sure if maybe the 35 was for the deisel trucks and 34 was for the gas trucks.
maybe someone knows if this information is included with a build sheet? or you could just go ahead and send a request for one to see if its on it.

it should say on your build sheet. i thought the 35 was an option? how about this. if it was a 35 it would be longer then your 26. not higher. just measure it compaired to your 97
