ok guys im ordering new gears for my truck in the next week or so and was wondering if 4.88 is to much gear for 38's or should i get 4.56 and has anyone ever run yukon gears?

if anyone knows what is the difference in the regular and reverse cut gears and which one is the best?

go with the 4.88's for sure. most people would recommend the 4.88's for the 35's if you have an auto tranny and dont do a ton of hiway driving.

Reverse cut is where the gears run in "reverse" order.

I believe that only high pinion (pinion on top of axle) axles are equiped with this feature. If I am wrong please correct me.

I agree with tani1500 on the gears I would go with 4.88's
