How do they determine the winner? By how long or by how much smoke?

well.. my burn was for a good 2 maybe 3 mins.. the chevelle went for 25 seconds.. didnt pop anything.. but it was "chevy" night and all the chevys were competing for best in show.. so i think it was like a inside thing.. not sure how they did the judging but they did have judges and they walked around the pit with clip boards and writing stuff down.. if i would have went for mopar night i think i could have takin 1st... im going agian next week ..

 

I'm not going to be able to see it until tomorrow because I'm being blocked by the Air Force's Great Firewall (I'm at work). Sound's like I'm really missing the show of the century though. Way to go, man.

Hey Shot - what rpm's were you turning when you did that? It sounded like you backed it down a little at the beginning. Great video and congratulations.

The video reminds me of a song by Ray Stevens. It was a spoof about two hippies at Woodstock. They smoked everything - the Woodstock brochure, a grass field, the tires off of their Harley. It ended with them planning on going to the pet store and smoking a "pair-a-keets" - "one for you and one for me", then on to a hamster and all the kitty litter.

oh man .. i knew someone was gonna ask me about the rpm's well since i have the hypertech.. i ran the rev limiter 500+ stock..

at the beginning you can hear me shifting.. thats what the difference of exhaust tone is your hearing... but your right at the middle and towards end of it i was backing down.. mainly b/c i started to watch my gauges and noticed in 3rd gear i was past 5000 rpm.. for a while.. there was onle a few seconds that i wasnt redlined .. and for a little while afterwords i was nervous to see how the motor was gonna run aftewards...seeing it has 104K on it... but the thing is running strong as hell still and the burnout didnt even phase it!!!!!!!!!

ill tell ya.. them elec fans are great.. but when your redlined for 2 miins plus.. they dont do a damn thing LOL.. my temp got close to 230/240.. and after it was done i had to let it sit at idle for about 20 mins to let the motor cooldown.... lol..
