Default A Different Squeaking Noise

Alright, I just discovered a creaking noise this morning in a drive-thru and I searched the topic on here and I couldn't really find anything applicable to my situation. So, I'll try to describe it to ya'll in as much detail as possible. It's a squeaking/creaking noise that seems to be coming from the front/middle of my truck when I hit the gas over 10 MPH. But when I'm going under 10 it makes the noise constantly, regardless of whether or not I'm gassin' it. The noise is very consistent, and the duration of the creak decreases as I accelerate. For example, when I'm going 25 MPH and gas it, it sounds like (bear with me) EH..EH..EH..EH.. But when I'm going 5 MPH it sounds like EEEEHHHHH..........EEEEEHHHHHHH.............EEEEEE EHHHHHHHH. It does when I turn either way as well as when I go straight. My first thought was a U Joint but I wiggled pretty much everything I could get to and everything seemed tight enough. Maybe a wheel bearing? Thanks in advance for your help.

Had almost same issue middle back of truck were my u joints they looked good but were locking up. When braking suddenly do you hear the noise? Had wheel bearings replaced once also but that was a grinding noise after hitting a deer.

Check your balljoints, i had the same situation so i jacked it up and wiggled it back and forth and the top ball joint had movement.

this sounds dumb to me but have u checked ur brake pads being that the noise happens at a faster rate with an increase of speed it sounds like something rather a tire or brake pad or drivshaft is rubbing or hitting something stationary.

Alright, may sound dumb but what have I got to lose....

Anyway - is your cupholder down? When my cupholder is down it squeaks a lot. When it's up - no squeak.

Drove me crazy for a while - thought my shocks were going out - which they are, but that wasn't making noise.

Anyway let us know what you find.

Good luck

LMFAO, not poking fun either, those cupholders can get on a guy's nerves.

yea that damn cup holder needs greesing as much as my balljoints do

ok.. so does this squeeking do it when when the motor is off? reason why im asking... sounds like your describing a bad belt squeel... spray some WD40 on your belt and see if it quets down... if it does its time for a new belt... and obvioulsy dont drive around witht he WD40 on it for long... get some BELT DRESSING and dress the belt.. so your pullys dont slip

on the other hand.. check your swaybar bushings... the big ones that are mounted to the front bottom of the frame...

shock mount bushings too... check them...

my money is on the swaybar bushings and/or the belt
