Default RE: no voltage at iac

thats odd... disconnect your batt (neg cable) and pull the cannon plug that the iac wire/wires goes into and make sure theres no corrosion or bent pins... also.. shoot continuity from the respective pin/pins to the base of the wires..making sure there isnt a break in the plg its self .. trying to rule out all possiblities.. i think if you took the truck to the stealer (god forbid) they might be able to scan the computer for circuit faults.. also .. it may be worth while to change the iac,,, maybe the internal circuitry isnt connecting the circuits and giving false readings or data to the pcm. but thats kinda shootin in the dark

The computer has not thrown any codes but the IAC is not working , will not adjust idle when AC is on etc.
Im having the same problem with my 00 ram 5.9. I get no battery (12.0 or higher) voltage on the purple/white connection but at times I do get battery voltage. How did u fixed your truck?

12 year old thread.......

You should see 12 volts on two wires in the iac connector, with the ignition on. (engine not running) If you don't, verify the wires are good, if they are, replace the PCM.

Why don't you just start a thread with your problem, and see if we can help you. I don't think anyone that posted in this thread, aside from you and I, are even still around any more.
