windshield washer tank?

RE: windshield washer tank?
Concerning the fabric softener sheets, I think its the combination of the coarse textured cloth and the chemicals they use. It takes a little effort on some of the larger bugs, but it is still better than any other product I used. I just learned about using the sheets on an RV site. They are also good for keeping mice and ants out of campers (or vehicles). There was a post on another forum that gave about 100 uses for both new and used fabric softener sheets. Pretty interesting.

as for the washer heater, its unadvisable to use, in a cold winter, it can do serious damage putting hot fluid on an ice cold windshield, changing its temperature up to 80Degrees in seconds. so then crack.

I remember when I first saw an ad for it thinking " hey, isn't that gonnna crack the glass " ?

yup.. and i'd rather ask a question like that as well, rather than spend the money on the unit, and then the replacement of a windshield in the dead of winter.
for some american states, i'd think that it doesnt get cold enough to be hurtful, but when you live in northern canada, yeah, 120 degree fluid being sprayed onto a -40 degree windshield.. NOT smart. but they dont think about these things when developing products, and I bet it doesnt say anything inside the manual.

One more reason to bring beer along when you're 4-wheelin' ... I've had the experience of standing on my buddy's CJ-8 Scrambler hood ... "washing" the mud off of his windshield when he ran out of washer fluid while out wheeling.
Of course ... you could just add washer fluid to the list ... but where's the war story in that? [8D]
