Default Break lights

Ok, so the other night I was driving around town and a cop followed me for about 2 or 3 miles and was making me a little nerves, but as I turned into the turn lane, he pulled up next to me and notified me that I didn’t have break light. I pulled over after turning and found the he was right. I have running lights, but no break lights. I’ve tinkered with them, checking fuses, bulbs, everything, and cannot figure out why I have no break lights. Has anyone else had this problem with their ram or does anyone have any ideas of what it could possibly be, or how to fix it?

Did you check the brake light switch at the top of the brake pedal

Take a look at the brake light switch. It's on the brake pedal arm itself (under the dash). Maybe it's sticking, but I would think your cruise wouldn't "kick out" when you tap the brakes either, since it uses the signal from the same switch. Mine jammed awhile ago, it's a pretty easy fix, not that expensive.

kinda tricky but crawl onto your floor board and follow your brake pedal up, start looking for a little black box with a small i guess you could call button sticking out that is touching your brake pedal, this would be your brake pedal switch, i had the same problem you did, the switch wasnt bad but had just come slightly loss from its mount. the "button should be touching the brake pedal unless the pedal is pushed down upon which time the switch opens up and the brake lights come on.
