Default Electrical problem

Hi All,

I noticed on my way home last night that the interior lights flashed once and never repeated. This AM no power, no nothing. Runs off of jump with advanced RPM [1000+] dies on idle. My book sez nothing. Any ideas?

Have you checked the fuses out yet? I'd check the box under the hood that carries the larger amp fuses. Sounds like there's no power to some kind of crucial circuit.

How about some additional info. Year, motor, etc.

Good luck.

Hi,

'98, 3.2 V8, automatic trans. 78K miles. I washed it last monday sprayed under hood as usual. Ran all last week [here in Texas is was 102+ everyday] so I do not think it is a water issue. The main fuse box was dry [it is now raining after 2 months].

Thank you for your help!

Russ

check all your fuzes... in the PDC (box under the hood) and the ones in the cab. then id get your batt/alt checked at an autozone or advanced auto... best way to check a fuze, especially the tiny small ones, is use a multimeter and to check continuity at the top of the fuze where there is two small silver dots...so that you dont have to remove the fuze.. the larger 30-50 amp square ones you have to remove to test.. and they are sometimes trickey to read if they blow

All fuses checked out OK, I'm off to the shop for testing. Thanks for your help.
