I considered it on mine. I just finished installing the 3rd gen emblems on my ram. I will put some pics up soon. But I modified mine. I have a black ram and am attempting to "ghost out" or stealth the truck. I took the new 3rd gen emblems and some good carbon or granite colored wheel paint and colored them before installing. They look so sweet. I will also be treating every peice of chrome on my truck with the same paint. I think it looks awesome. I will likely start a new thread detailing the "stealth" de-chroming.

"stealth" de-chroming
That actually does sound prettty sweet. I was thinking of doing something with the chrome, that just might be something I'm interested in.

well, i managed to get the badges off today, used googone, razorblade, and a strip of string.

took me about 90mins, as the passenger side had about 3/8" of that **** to keep it on, along the whole emblems.
the drivers side took me only 15 mins of that 90. small sectional strip about 1/2" tall x the entire emblem length. easier to get off.

I'll post pictures as soon as I find some batteries.

Thanks for the help with this guys.

The truck looks GREAT !!

I wouldn't mind taking the badges off of the tailgate myself, but I'm worried about the sun fading the gate around them now since my truck is a 98.

I was going to suggest using fishing line. I wouldn't have thought to use string. I've also heard people using a heat gun and an old ID or credit car too.

I de-badged mine because they were looking a little sad, plus when I get bored the tools come out and something gets tweaked or changed.
