I have it... I love it...

I use a JL 250/1 to power it...

You cannot get just the box... you have to get it with the speaker JL supplys and recommends...

My buddy talked me into it. I was not so happy with the price ($500) but after having for about 2 years I would not hesitate to recommend it to anyone.

I have a regular cab and I love that I did not loose any space. Also... from the outside you cannot tell I have any stereo work in my truck.

Dang, Eric, you're pretty hot for a guy. I'm beginning to question some long held beliefs I've had about myself ...........

as far as i know the stealth box is a sealed unit and you cant remove nor replaced the sub..if the sub goes or starts to crackle you gotta remove the whole job and send it in... kidna blows... i know there was a guy on ebay selling mocks of these.. but its just a regular box built to take the place of the center seat... ive heard really good reviews on these and he also upholsters these in the color of your choice... id recodmend that route instead..mainly save yourself money and a possible headache later...

The speaker in mine can absolutely be changed out, but I love my JL woofer to much to do that, LOL. I got my stealthbox off of ebay a few years back, power it with a kenwood amp, and it friggen bumps! I agree with everyone that paying retail for JL's stuff is a little nuts, but with ebay, and all the sound forums selling good stuff for cheap........why not buy the best you can find, and yes, I do find that Jl is the best I have found for amps and woofers anyway. Eclipse makes the best head units I've seen, and Boston acoustics makes some wicked mids and highs. Yep, i'm ducking, feeling some shizzle coming my way, LOL.

good idea ducking..

being a car audio installer for X amount of years i can attest to JL not being the best...being the most overpriced...yes.. but we dont need to get into my **** is better then yours b/c its all based on opionon...

when my buddy put his stealth box into his ram (3rd gen) the speaker blew after about a month of use and was only being power by a D class 200W amp.. i think it was JL aswell. he ended up having to take it in to the shop he got it from and htey had to order him a new one... for the assuming reason the sub couldnt be taken out... with all the airflow chambers that it is designed with... im assuming a stealthbox for a 2nd gen and a 3rd gen are different... im glad my shop wasnt a jl dealer... or i wouldnt have stayed as long as i did.. but then again we did mostly compition and show stuff as well..

and hands down..for the money and perfomance,, audiobahn subs and amps and hifonics amps are far more superior to anything JL produces... MB Quart would woop bostons *** anyday.. and my panasonic HU is 10 times better then any eclipse unit on the market... by specs, and looks....

sorry.. had to take the dagger and twist it a little.. lol

and now i will duck... since i know i got some **** coming my way... im sure hebebe,,our resident audio expert will step in and give me an asswoopin

Just my opinion, but I have the Infinity Reference 9613i, 6X9's in the door and either the 5-1/4 or 6-1/2 Infinity reference components in the rear. 3rd brand of speakers and am satisfied with the highs and mids. The MTX thunderform takes care of the bass.......
