Yeah, what shott8283 said. I have had some problems, as well as have others, with the surround on JL woofers prematurely deteriorating and crumbling so quit using them but that wasn't the Stealthbox plus it's been a while since I've used JL so maybe they have improved (breathe now, rewd). What other components you gonna be running with your system?

Overrated is the word, I didn't want to use it either. They are trading (and surcharging) on their name more than on the quality of the product ..... exactly like Dom Perignon champagne. [sm=groupwave.gif]Let's Goooooooooooooooo Mountaineers![sm=groupwave.gif]

there is NO WAY i would run a JL woofer in the box. The box is the piece i actually want. I would be running a 10" infinity kappa sub in the box. So far i have a Sony MEX-1GP head unit with 6x9 Infinity kappa speakers. I am going to put infinity 5 1/4's in the rear just havent looked at how much work it is to get to those two speakers yet. I will also be upgrading the tweeters in the door and for an amp i am going to get either a rockford or a kenwood.

Have you thought of the MTX Thunderform Box? Fits under your back seat?

Thats what I am currently running, and sound great, you dont know its there unless you look for it. I swapped out the MTX subs for some Kenwoods and have no complaints on the box.

yeah i have. its quite spendy new and i can't seem to find a used one. Also i thought with the stealthbox i can still have the little bit of storage underneath the back seat still. But if i can find a used one at a decent price i would buy it.
