windshield wiper problem
i have this problem with my windshield wipers where they work fine.. but when i turn them off they stop in place whereever i turn them off at.. usually when you turn it off they go back down but i've been noticing lately that they stop whereever i turn it off at.. anyone else have this problem? or any solutions??

I have to agree. I am quite sure there is some sort of stop that opens the circuit when they are in the park position. I can't remember if that piece is replacable or not. Jimster may be right. The motor, gearbox, and wiring might be a one piece unit.
In the meantime, practice your timing...........lol.

I hate being a newbie, but for wipers failing to park correctly, try this.
Check fuse #8 on the left side of the instrument panel. 2nd row down, all the way to right (rear of truck) 20 amp.
If fuse is good, then, under the hood, at wiper motor's three pin connector while it is plugged in and the key is on.
Put wiper switch in off position and use a grounded test lamp to the motor's center pin.
1. no 12volt = wiper switch bad or wiring broken.
2. 12volt present = test further by doing the following.
With they key off, measure for continuity between two outer pins on the connector.
1. continuity = bad wiper motor.
2. no continuity = bad switch or wiring broken.

No offense was taken by your comment and these simple tests were borrowed from my very worn Dodge factory service manual.
BTW, I didn't find an easier way to replace my door hinge.
