HI.
I'm brand new here and wanted to say what I read so far was enough to get me to join.
I found this site looking for an easy way to change the upper door hinges and found everything else.
I'm just finishing up tonight a '94 2500 that came in for inspection and an oil change.
I maintain, repair, and swear at a whole fleet of construtction equipment and trucks.
My 189,000 mile truck also took the following:
front brake pads and hardware
rear park brake cables and equalizer
rear shoes and hardware
new rear bumper (old one rotted away)
realigned and untwisted the front bumper
both tie rods and the drag link
track bar (NAPA lifetime
)
4 tires
alignment (still wanders though)[:@]
both upper door hinges
weld rienforcing and repair of both driver's window tracks (it doesn't rattle anymore)
reupholstered seats from Bill at P & B Trim (awesome work)
diagnosed the 4wd and plugged in the vacuum connector at the back the transfer case (it just fell off, my ***)
cut off the fubar meyers plow rig brackets
updated the melted headlamp switch
removed POS deezee running boards (tired of straightening and refricating brackets
and a partridge in a pear tree![Big Grin](https://dodgeforum.com/forum/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)
Did I mention it only came in for inspection and an oil change.
Damn it. I forgot to change the oil[:@].
There's always tomorrow.
Oh, and thanks for the welcome, MAYFAIR.

Oh yeah, I also have a 5.9B 12V in a POS F-800( it used to be a 190horse like the rams
)
I just got 7 stitches last week thanks to my improper use of a ladyslipper puller on the front crank seal. It almost seems worth the blood and cursing to get rid of the oil puddles in front of the house

TMS BILL
It's a fleet truck for everyone to enjoy but I couldn't stand to see it that sad any more
.
Besides, if I don't take pride in the fleet and my work, who else will?
And I couldn't stand the thought of replacing it, since I've had her since a she was a pup

Disassembly revealed that the front lower window guide had fatigued next to a spot weld (on both mounting ears) and the rear lower channel had begun the same process but didn't completely fracture it's second mounting leg because it fractured the door below the latch.
The door had rattled upon closing for the last 70,000 miles or so but it wasn't really anything but an irritating rattle. Inquiring minds just had to take it apart.
I haven't seen everything on (or in dodge) yet, but I'm working on it

And I have 2 guys in the department below me, a parts changer plus and a full-time welder plus. And they're both in the field full-time and the trivial, demanding projects get shipped to shop where I spend 15% of my time. The rest of the time, I'm in the field with my F-800 service truck. I carry tools on board for just about anything I fix, especially my F-800[:@].
