ok guys im stumped i know i shouldnt be doing this but i did it and i have know idea what causes it when im driving down the road at over 40 mph if i put it up in neutral and rev it ou and put it back in drive it make the motor sound like it is cutting out or missing does anyone know what this is thanks everyone
so you guys have never revved your engine while cruising down the road?? lets say you pass a friend or something.. hell i do that all the time.. in my old truck i'd always pop it in neutral.. rev it up and put it back in drive
after i go back into drive and hit the gas it cuts out for a few secondes then goes back to normal
I'm pretty certain the PCM doesn't care too much for what you're doing. Something in the programming is telling it to do exactly what you're seeing. Probably not a problem as revving in N at 40+ is, undoubtedly, outside the normal operating parameters of the PCM program.
