Default stumped

ok guys im stumped i know i shouldnt be doing this but i did it and i have know idea what causes it when im driving down the road at over 40 mph if i put it up in neutral and rev it ou and put it back in drive it make the motor sound like it is cutting out or missing does anyone know what this is thanks everyone

wait... so you cruizing down the road..dropping out of D into N and back into D while still rolling? i just wanna get that straight first

yes at over 40 it does it under 40 it doesnt

after i go back into drive and hit the gas it cuts out for a few secondes then goes back to normal

so you guys have never revved your engine while cruising down the road?? lets say you pass a friend or something.. hell i do that all the time.. in my old truck i'd always pop it in neutral.. rev it up and put it back in drive

I'm pretty certain the PCM doesn't care too much for what you're doing. Something in the programming is telling it to do exactly what you're seeing. Probably not a problem as revving in N at 40+ is, undoubtedly, outside the normal operating parameters of the PCM program.

Yeah, stop doing it if you like your truck. There is no way DCX intended for someone to do that and it is very likely a saftey protocol in the PCM
