Anyone know if I can put a manual side view mirror where there was previously a power mirror? I refuse to pay $200 for a mirror and none of the junkyards can get it to me fast enough or cheap enough.

 

The mounts should be very similar. I know a few guys that have gone from non-powered to powered.

 

I must sound like a cheap bastard but it's my work truck that I'm just trying to get to pass inspection and I plan on selling it soon for a bigger truck... plus, I've just dumped a few grand into it already. It's no longer worth my time or money, a 1500 shortbed just doesnt cut it for a roofing contractor. I bought it for fun originally, buy my plans changed when I lost an office job and had to go back to what I do best. Anyway, I called the dealership and they confirmed the mounting is the same. Thanks for responding.

 

Check Ebay. Im sure you will find one for waaaay less than $200.
