Just to be a snot if he's claiming it's a "6x6" they in theory he'd be claiming it was a live axle. As 6x6 is 6 wheels, 6 driven [i.e. 'locked']

 

Zanesville, OH is a dump, I go thru there a couple times a year and always see some new hillbilly invention like that "6x6" truck. They dont have anything better to do down there but try and come up with something to impress each other. The best is the boats they either make or rig and race all drunk down the river that runs thru town

 

If you go to the site there is a link to usa6x6.com. They show how all the Truck are built. Also they are true 6x6 with live axels all the way back.

 

Expanding on your snottiness ... I kinda shake my head in pity when I see a (for lack of better term) all-wheel drive dually with 4x4 proudly emblazened across his fender or tailgate. Technicaly ... it's a 6x6 also. 6 wheels x 6 driven. I've seen the manual for the military 2 1/2-ton and it's (properly) called a 10x10. (The OLD non-dually versions were 6x6)

It's true, 4x4 is thrown around all too often these days, when realy most then are 4x2 or 4x3.

No...I meant notice it because the truck is a TRUE 6x6

For those of you not in the know, Detroit DOES make a locker for the Rockwell axles And IIRC, that truck has a locker in all THREE axles
