HansonHVAC, believe it or not I had some Dupli-color silver high-temp paint in my garage for some reason. Thats what I used, we'll see how it holds up. Shott- Thanks for the heads up! I did notice a little shaking at slow speeds today. You said that will go away at time?

Nice look! I am just now preparing to do the same thing on mine. I bought a semi-gloss black, thought since I was running polished aluminum it would look best if the calipers and drums dissappeared but I'm liking the silver look, and it would match my truck. What is the big difference between "caliper paint" and "hi temp paint"? They both contain ceramics and are rated up to 500 degrees. The hi-temp is less expensive.

I think the hi-temp paint is around $8-10 per spray can. So yes.

hey shocker, do you have a full on side pic of your whip taken after the paint? Would like to see how it looks when seeing front/rear at the same time, plus I could get a good look of how the level lift looks on an xcab with not so huge tires. I'm leaning towards the 2" myself but have only seen them on reg.cabs with big guns. shott, you really cut down on dust that much? It's killing me keeping my wheels clean.

Looks good!!!!!![sm=icon_rock.gif]

I use the engine paint that is rated for 1000 or 1200 deg. for the hot stuff, and the 500 deg. stuff on misc. engine compartment stuff.
