New to the forum. I have a 01 1500 2wd pulling a 6 x10 cargo trailer should i install an external cooler or will stock setup keep it cool enough?

If you mean tranny cooler, yes! While your at it, junk the check valve on the tranny line. Many folks have them plug, creating overheated trannys.

Also if towing, run with your OD off below 60 mph. It keeps the tranny temp cooler as well.

Thanks for the reply, yes idid mean a tranny cooler and i always drive with overdrive off around town.

You should get a cooler put in and make soure you get your trany serviced once a year without fail and your trany will be alright
