Well

1. It bounces around and does nothing
2. It melts, you have expensive repairs in front of you.
3. You backfire and incinerate it and deal with the smell?

...ignore that last one.
............ and I had a past GF that was a lot like 1. too .............

I hear ya on the little brother thing. Mine is 6, Ill be doing something and he will come and look up at me and say "can I help" i mean ya cant say no then ya feel bad. and so i usually ask him to go and get my tools. kill 2 birds with one stone, teach him what the tool is and it helps me by not getting off the ladder. they really have good intentions just tend to screw up ALOT. then they give ya one of these

Ok, so info huh, well if it does melt, whitout knowing exactly what it did, it's going to stream down your intake manifold and down into the valve area and gum up the works. Take the plenum off, it's not that hard, and see what you can spy with your little eye.

well.. i would suggest you to take off the TB and try and peak in there with a flashlight and a mechanics mirror to see if its still in there.. and hope to got it is.. something that size i would hope it would have a hard time getting sucked im into the runners and then having to make its way past the vavles into the cylinders.. lets hope for the bestl.

After countless hours/days of searching every known place to try and find that damn straw anywhere but in the motor and not having found it, decided to just pull everything off and look for it. Figured at 83K might as well do a pre-emptive plenum fix and look for the bugger at the same time. Broke my heart to see my younger brother when he would come home from the sheltered workshop and go searching for the thing. I just know it will turn up in the driveway AFTER I do the repair.......

Naaaaah ... little brother had it in his pocket the whole time.

That's what you get for screwing him on the ice cream cone.

For all you know, that thing got sucked in and then shot out of the exhaust port.
