Default Water under the rug Passenger Side

yesteday i found out that the rug on the passengers side was completly wet
i have been checking for a small hole where the water can be trasspasing to the
cab & every thing seems O.k .........Could this be the the Heater or A/C
that could be leaking some water into the cab ?
How can i fix the problem ?

As Always Thanks for your help

If it's your heater you should get that lovely sweet smell of antifreeze. If it's not antifreeze then it could be the drain line for the a/c condensor. Do a search, there's actually been a couple threads recently on people having the same problem. The drain line only sticks out the firewall like half an inch and there's only foam weather sealy arouund it. You'll probably want to make sure the drain isn't plugged and then check that it hasn't worked it's way out of the firewall and back in the cab. Maybe even put some silicone or something around the drain. The other thing to look at is the third brake light on the back of the cab. It leaks sometimes(mine does), although for some reason that usually ends up with a wet driver's side floor.

Just a few minutes ago i checked the radiator and its full so it makes me think that heater is not the problem
also the water in the cab doesnt have the green color of the atifreezer .

i will check the Drain just as you suggested
hope i find it .

Thanks.

I had the same thing happening. I sealed up the 3rd brake lamp w/some silicon and it still seemed to leak so I hit the heater box drain.

It's right below the accumulator (black canister) on the passenger side. I've got pics in my profile if you want to check it out. I just got some 5/8" vinyl tubing and a plastic elbow.

Seems to have stopped leaking since I did this.

With both fixes, it cost a total of $5.

Good luck.

I left the motor running 15 Min. with the AC when i stopped the Motor water was draining O.k
& tried to look for a leak & No signs .[:@][:'(]

& As i said radiator its full so it makes me think that heater is not the problem
also the water in the cab doesnt have the green color of the atifreezer

I wish my truck looked like that yours, forget the grass you parked it on..........mines almost the same, wanna trade? LOL

Anyways getting serious here, how clean do you keep your truck? The reason I ask is one time I had a bottle fall out of my cup holder and roll under the seat, eventually it broke open and left quite the puddle on my floorboard. Just a thought, I now look under the seat quite often.

I was having the exact same issue... and tried all of the same stuff you did...

this is going to sound like an odd question but... where do you live? I am in Souther Louisiana and it didn't take long to figure out with the water draining under that seat at a very cool temp... and the air out side being right at 104 degrees F with the humidity up around the 95% range what was causing my moisture problem... once the weather got a little cooler it has all but stopped... just a thought...

There is a A/C drain in the engine compartment. It is suppose to have a rubber 90 L on it pointed down. It is only pushed on and they fall off all the time. The A/C will not drain and will overflow into the cab floor when driving.....I just went through this @!!!!
