does anyone know what the HP is for the 318, the 360, and the 345 (atleast i think the hemi's are 345's). basically i have a 95 1500 with the 360 and my girlfriends brother has an 06 hemi and i wanna compare the two. and im just curious about the 318

thanks guys

EDIT: 1 more question. 95 1500 4X4 with the 360. thats my truck. anyone know the gear ratio and if it would/should/could have limited slip differential? or a way i can find out?

95 a stock 318 had 220hp at the crank
Stock 360 made 230hp
96 Indys 97SST had 245 with the 360
98 318 increased to 230 and 360 increased to 245.
SST/DAK RT got 250hp
Peak torque for a 5.9 around 4000rpms
Hemi makes about 40 more peak torque but at 4800rpms

GenIII Rams have about 20% higher drag coeff
GenIII Rams weigh about 200+ lbs more on average

Your gear ratio and diff should be listed on the underside of the hood. Pop it and look up

you can also use the search and look up "build sheet" youll find loads of posts with the link to DC's website to request a build sheet via email.. needing your VIN to do it.. that will list everything that came off the factory line when the truck was built

Just an FYI, the HEMI is a 370 cubic inch motor and turns about 345hp at the crank in stock form.

5.7L converted to ci is 347.8. I believe the hemi is actaully 349ci
Chevy 350s in the 90s were a 5.7L
Hemi trucks do have 5hp more than I stated. The cars have 340hp
375 trq is made at 4200rpms not as I mentioned above

So my 97 stock with the 360 is about 240. Right, Then with the mods how much do you think the motor is pushing. THEN how much HP do you think my tires rob.

It's hard to know what a motor is putting down without dynoing it.

I'd say your tires are hurting you quite a bit though. What gear ratio does your truck have?

I dont really know. I havent explored that section of the truck yet. It turns them great. So i would think that 1 of the 2 owners who had it before me might have done it. everybody who has ridden in it say that chances are it has been regeared. Just because of how good it will get up and go. Another clue that might lead me into thinking it has been regeared is that i get about 14-15 if i treat it nice on the highway( about 12 city) which from what i heard is GREAT. it is not sluggish at all. Is there any way i can tell without tearing it all down. Thanks oh going about 75 down the highway i am taching roughly 2100. what do ya think thanks
