Possibly, but I can't say for sure. The 2000s have their own PCM, and I don't think Chrysler would put out a different PCM for a different year if it was the same. So you can try it if you want, but at your own risk


As far as the torque management, the jury is still out on that. I personally don't think the PCMs have it. I've never felt it in my truck, but then again power pours out both tires at all times on my truck...so it's hard to say [8D]

 

It felt like torque managment was gone when I installed my Mopar PCM too, but I can't say for sure. Could just be the extra power i'm feeling.

like rom said..its possible .. but it would be a hit or miss if you try to switch years on PCM's and would be doing it at your own risk to your wallet..these thigns are cheep .. be better off to wait and keep looking for your year on ebay or something.. ormaybe the forsell section on the popular forums for dodge and offroad forums

 

Doubt it. Changes were made to quite a few things mid way through the 98 model year The 96 PCM might have a good chance of working for you though.
